I was leaning toward the Double Rainbow Tarptent but I'm a little concerned about condensation issues, any thoughts out there. I pretty much know what the Copper Spur ul2 has to offer but I'm open to any suggestions.

While I have not had my copper spur in a heavy snow I have had it in an inch or so. It held up good but I wouldn't want to use it in a heavy snow. As far as wind I have had it in some nasty coastal storms. It held up a lot better than I would have expected. Good stakes in good ground is a must. If you loose your stakes this tent won't hold up in the wind.I have the copper spur 2. It's a good, light weight backpacking tent. If you want something STRONG, this is not your tent. If I expect big snow or winds, I use a north face expedition.
Just curious what quality issues you have had with BA products? If you want quality...then you don't want the BA stuff. The HS stuff is top notch.
i have a HS Tarptent and if you pitch it right there is zero condensation- not sure about the rainbow models though. That one of the advantages of HS- call them and talk to the owner Henry or one of their fine staff.
