Is the 3d printer printing foam?

Cool tech! Would be nice to do for hard cases that hold firearms etc.
No way I have enough room in my tool boxes for foam. I have tools that have made it 40 years without extra protection, with no noticeable wear.

The screwdriver case was made out of PLA plastic

It’s not too bad printing foam-like filaments once you get the settings dialed in. Here are a couple tests I was doing with some custom recoil pads for my rifles. The right one is PEBA air and the left is 85A TPU. The PEBA stuff is perfect for custom inserts which is what I’m planning for it.
