cool Bighorn capture video

This video came from a local TV show here in Idaho hosted by Kris Milgate. It's a good video of Id F&G capturing sheep from a little known bighorn herd near the Montana border.

Anyway, honest reporting as one sheep dies! and they still show it. But sounds like the benefits outweigh the risks. I'm curious to follow this research and find out more about these sheep. It's often this type of research that leads to new hunts being opened. Check it out:

That was neat. We have collared Mt. Goats here on our island. The ADF&G used choppers for that program too. Sound science produces good game conservation programs.

$1200 an hour seems a bit spendy for a Jetranger even if you factor in the netgunner and ground crew + motels and ferry time. Helped out on a capture here in NV about 7-8 years ago and some of those sheep went to ID. Thanks for sharing!
