Concentration Camps, Slavery, & Horrid Human Rights Violations in Today's World

Just listened to this podcast with Joe Rogan and North Korean defector Yeonmi Park and it breaks my heart. It's disgusting that concentration camps, slavery, and horrid human rights violations exist in the world we live in today and you hear virtually nothing about it. Furthermore, it's even swept under the rug and censored. Give it a listen. It's long, but I couldn't turn it off.

Maybe the language of my initial post is a little misleading/misunderstood. I don't think that the fact that NK is a dumpsterfire has been censored or swept under the rug.

I was referring to a lot of the things Yeonmi says she receives push back on as being ignored. My thoughts would probably make a lot more sense after actually listening to it.

Same with China and the Uyghurs. I agree we're in a tough spot to do anything about it. Acknowledging what is going on would be a good start. I don't think that's about to happen with our main stream media in its current state. I wouldn't be shocked to learn China is a majority shareholder in cbs, NBC, abc etc.

I damn sure not going to China/NK to start any fights.

I mean in the media and social circles. Why do I have to dig up a buried podcast to learn about this stuff? I listen to the news for at least 30 minutes practically every day for the last 8 years and never knew this.

If the Nazis were building concentration camps again, it would be the biggest story in the world. We're too busy crying about "oppression in America" and trying to turn our country into a communist nation.

Nah, I spent a lot of time researching and learning about NK, even travelled there and went on one of their tours. That Joe rogan episode isnt going to tell me much I havnt already learned.

My favorite North Korea story is that there was a mine of some sort, there were like 3000 prisoners working in the mine when the entrance collapsed. Instead of digging out the entrance, they just left them all in there to die…because they were just prisoners.
