Compact Spotting Scopes Maven CS1 vs Athlon Ares UHD

Does anyone have experience with both? I've looked through the Athlon and the glass is fine for me but the weight comes in at 51 ounces. A little too heavy for the backpack. I would be willing to bump up to the CS1 if the glass is that much better. It's an 11 ounce savings. I'm open to any compact spotting scopes. The parameters are sub $800. Sub 3lbs. No Vortex. Thanks.
