With IP28 seeming to gain traction and will most likely gather the needed 117k sigs to be on the ballot. Why haven't I ever seen an amendment put forth to guarantee Oregon's right to hunt & fish? Currently 23 states have this amendment written into their constitution.

Would an amendment like this nullify IP28? I would imagine that getting the needed number of signatures would be attainable. Heck, the sportsman's show was this weekend, and I bet you'd get close to 20k that weekend alone!

I know next to nothing about politics or how to start an initiative. I'm sure there's someone on here who understands these processes and could explain why Oregon hasn't been able to get a similar amendment on the ballot?

Great idea! My buddy was on the MAX going the sportsman show and was approached about signing IP28. He educated a few people about how misleading the name of it is and what it means. The person still got about 10 signatures that he saw. We need to end these types of things now while we have the chance. I don’t see things here getting any better anytime soon.

I’ve thought about this many times. I’m not sure on the mechanics of getting something like this on the ballot. I’m guessing it would be easy to get the signatures but the money to push it through might be more difficult.

Absolutely disgusting agenda they are pushing, would result in my immediate move out of Oregon.
That’s what it would take? Trading wolves with fellow libtard Colorado, making the taxpayers in the 3 largest counties pay a “Homeless Tax”, etc, wasn’t enough? I couldn’t wait until I got out of there almost 20 years ago.
