I was at the meeting yesterday, the vote was 7-4. Pribyl, Kane, Howard and Zimmerman voted against I believe. Positive on Pribyl and Kane, less so on the other two.
It's important to note that the vote was symbolic (CO Legislature has authority to introduce wolves, not DPW Commission), and was on two alternative statements that were intended to back the Governor's letter to USFWS that was sent in November. Alternative 2 (the one passed) had language against the intentional reintroduction of northern gray wolves, the other remained silent on it.
I heard Kane and Howard state they are not proponents of releasing wolves, but they did not feel the language needed to be as strong as alternative 2. Whether this means they truly want wolves, I don't know. Pribyl certainly seemed in favor of wolves from what I heard.
What is interesting is the wolfies didn't want any resolution passed, I went in thinking they wanted Alternative #1 since that could be construed as Colorado is not necessarily against reintroduction of northern gray wolves. It was a learning experience for me, and after listening to both sides I have to say I didn't hear any legitimate facts from the pro-wolf side. A lot of emotional arguments and misrepresentation of what the results have been in other states. (And I have been pretty moderate on this issue in the past)
