Colorado Wolf dies within RMNP

I heard there was another one killed in Wyoming. Then this came out? So either this is the 4th or the two story’s dont line up

At least if there were wolves in this state introduced by voters, RMNP is where they should be. I'm just amazed it got that far already. The scent of the unbalanced ecosystem of Estes Park draws them in.

But sadly hilarious none the less.

I’ll be over here rooting for our Mt. lions and hoof stomping shiras… sad that these “supposed” animal lovers had to import wolves to die in a Colorado Hunger games type scenario hahaha, what did those wolves do to deserve this?!

I am sure there will be a push to 10X next year's releases due to the failure of these to thrive.

The irony here is not lost on me. Front range votes for wolves on the western slope where they are not wanted and now they are knocking on the back door in RMNP. I’m not anti wolf like many. Hell bring on the grizzly. However, I’m curious how anti gun these people will be as they live on the border with real predators.

You are probably right, which is frustrating. Looking worse and worse for our current overlords with the state 1.2 billion in debt and they keep way over shooting budget on stupid pet projects like wolves

It’s a sickness in this state, they will likely not change their mind until a pet or attack happens to them personally. Even then they will probably just want big daddy gov to step in, how dare a person need to worry about their own safety!

Maybe tariffs will shut down the Canadian wolf trade, but CPW will surely pivot back to made in the USA wolves with a livestock depredation history🤷‍♂️
Colorado has normalized "fees" and nobody would blink an eye. The decision makers would probably be more attracted to spend at a higher price because that would logically mean they are importing better animals.

"Last time we spent $X per wolf and they sent us their culls. These new offerings at $5X are a top tier the likes of have never been seen."

Who thinks up this stuff anyway? The money and effort devoted to these wolves is crazy when there are better ways to spend taxpayer dollars.

I see the expert politicos in CO allocated $28,000 for range riders to help with the wolves....thats going to go a long ways toward solving things, eh?

The people that want high predation to support lowering tag numbers and closing hunting seasons…
