Yes I do. My only hope is that hiking in 5+ miles will be far enough to get away from the crowds and into the elk.

Used to be that way, only horse camps deep but there are lots of backpack hunters looking for a spot now.

I've been on the other side in 54 and hiked 6 miles to camp before the season opened. Saw two other camps but not big deal.... till the next day when 20-25 more people showed up to hunt the week I was there on top of the countless hikers.

Keep all them people over there. We were not far from that unit and only saw 2 people during the entire week. Unfortunately, that was twice as many as elk we saw

Hunted it this year, the entire unit was full of cattle which pretty much destroyed everything, saw a few cows, heard only 1 bugle, we were in 7 miles. Hunted the first 8 or 9 days of the season, definitely too early but had a great time. LOTS of bears
