Colorado unit 47 high country rifle

I drew this tag and have what I think is a decent game plan. Does anyone know how much hunter traffic is on the independence pass side of the unit? I know there will be plenty of recreational people but I’d rather deal with them than lots of hunters. Thanks

Not sure I understand your question, Independence pass is a unit boundary. The summit has three units meeting at that point.

Do a lot of hunters access unit 47 from Indy pass or the trailheads near Indy pass. That is my question.

Okay I gotcha, I wouldn’t know from a hunting perspective as it’s not my region. In general that road is a nightmare especially from the summit to Aspen.

Would you recommend against this idea? And opt for going deeper rather than hitting off the wall spots. Thanks
