colorado unit 14 questions-pm me please

i will be hunting unit 14 archery elk sept 8th-sept17th and have a few questions to run past someone that knows the unit well(I'm from wisconsin so all i know about the unit is what i can see on google earth etc.) i mainly want to ask about my camping plans, vehicle plans and where I'm thinking at hunting mainly. I would also like to keep this to a pm so as not to allow the world to see what my plan of attack is. Im looking for someone that knows the unit well and has been there recently that could answer my simple road questions etc, so if you think that you may be of some help to me please pm me and ask me what my questions are.

i got a few people to give me some insight and ideas where to start. I hunted 5 days and between me and my father we seen a total of 7 elk. We put on a lot of miles trying to find hot sign but obviously we weren't looking in the right spots. We did talk to a few muzzleloader hunters who killed a 6x6 but that was the only elk they had seen and it was their 3rd time hunting the unit.

Are you married to hunting unit 14? Bow or MZ hunting? To see seven elk in a season is a pretty decent accomplishment for those units up there.

just so people know this thread was started in 2017, i appreciate any insight into the unit that people still have since I'm planning on going back in 2019 but i just want people to know that this is an old thread.
