Yeah very interesting. Possibly they allotted a surplus of tags for it? Where do we see how many tags they gave for each unit? I drew that exact tag this year.

It was a crap OTC unit just because the Southwest units went draw this year doesn't mean they became some magical unit that now holds huge bulls. Also since CPW has no clue how many people hunt OTC units they just WAG theoried the tag allotment.

Understood...but is a solid foundation in place in those units that could lead to quality hunting in time?

Maybe but they need to seriously reduce tags and not keep it OTC for rifle seasons if they want the herd to rebound and quality to increase. Until then way too much pressure and every legal bull gets whacked
