Colorado Rifle Elk

I know its only a cow, But this makes 3 years in a row Colorado DIY Public Land Rifle Elk for me. Got mine opening morning at 8:15, My hunting partner followed up at sunset on Day 2 (also his 3rd year in a row).

Mine was a 2.5 mile pack and his was just under 3.

nicely done. I struck out this year. Had a bull tag this year and only saw cows, Though I did find a quite a few big sheds. Had a 4th season cow tag and only saw hunters…. Very discouraging
