Pass. I like to hunt longer more than I like to pack out elk that are below my shooter criteria. Besides, every time I have shot a smaller animal, a larger one always comes to stand there and look at me while I'm quartering. Last day of the season, does he have a tasty cow with him I can shoot instead? Let him grow. Now, if my freezer was getting on the empty side, I might stick him, but given that it's overflowing with last years elk, and the year before thats elk. pass.
