Colorado OTC Bull opening weekend

Glad all that is behind us. Now, can we hear the story? I've got 5 days until I fly out for my hunt so I need to live vicariously through others until then.

Id crap myself if that came strolling out of the timber , amazing animal congrats on the harvest

Sweet bull! Congrats!
Lets hear the story...with a bull like that I'm sure it was an awesome struggle!

OTC doesn’t necessarily mean public land, could’ve been private. People see “OTC” and automatically assume it’s a national forest or wilderness area.

Either way, nice bull

Correct !! I purchase an OTC Bull license for 2nd Rifle Season, but hunt on a private Ranch in 78/81.

Yes, i thought about that once i posted. When i referred to an "OTC" unit, i was assuming public OTC. I guess the OP never said it was public and since he wont tell the story, it doesnt clarify either way. Would make more sense that an outfitter is finding that size bulls on private in an OTC unit. Less pressure obviously equals better trophy quality. CO is covered in elk hunters in the OTC public areas ive been to over the years.
