Glad all that is behind us. Now, can we hear the story? I've got 5 days until I fly out for my hunt so I need to live vicariously through others until then.

OTC doesn’t necessarily mean public land, could’ve been private. People see “OTC” and automatically assume it’s a national forest or wilderness area.

Correct !! I purchase an OTC Bull license for 2nd Rifle Season, but hunt on a private Ranch in 78/81.

Yes, i thought about that once i posted. When i referred to an "OTC" unit, i was assuming public OTC. I guess the OP never said it was public and since he wont tell the story, it doesnt clarify either way. Would make more sense that an outfitter is finding that size bulls on private in an OTC unit. Less pressure obviously equals better trophy quality. CO is covered in elk hunters in the OTC public areas ive been to over the years.
