Man, I try to pull a tag off this list every year, and only a handful of times have ever made it to the form. Anyone got any tricks?

I would like to get back on my soapbox and play the game of if I were in charge....

-One would only be able to buy a limited license that they applied for as one of their four choices in the primary application.

Weekly drawing and you get one single choice.

I'd be OK with that. There are only about 4 elk tags that I even look for on the list every week.

But I sure preferred the older way they did it........online didn't start until the day after reissue day. I was 4 for 4, now 0 for 5 since they changed it........and soon to be 0 for 6. That's pretty bad, especially since some of the tags I've tried to get have had 7-10 available.

I'm the same way. I have a handful of hunt codes for each species that I know I could go out and be in the mix that day. In my eyes, the reissue should reward people who have scouted and would give up all other opportunities by pre-designating (via the primary draw) what they want to bet on.

So how does the process work? I just call the CPW office with a CC and they send me a tag if available or is it another draw system?

You could’ve done that in the Youth Draw…. errrr ….. Secondary Draw.

I shocked myself and picked up a buck tag in the “youth” draw this year. Not a very exciting tag but I still couldn’t believe it.
