Colorado Hunter Eduction

I'm applying for a Nonresident Small Game Annual License in Colorado.

There is a question on the application to provide proof of Hunter Education.

• Firearm Certified
• Test 50
• Bow Certified

Can any Roksliders clarify which option I should choose? I have a Hunter Education from my state via hunter-ed.com

In the past, I've selected the Test 50 option. Is there a different option that I should be choosing?

I would call and get your Hunter Ed card 'Verified'.
That way you dont have to worry about it

Same. No idea what it means. There is no context given when noting Hunter Education on the Colorado application site.

I just put Firearm for mine even though in IL it's a generic class. I really don't think it matters?

I've been choosing Firearm Certified for as long as I've been applying. I don't remember ever seeing Test 50.

I found a couple of other non-Rokslide forums that seem to clarify the matter.

• They suggest selecting the certification for whatever weapon you plan to hunt with. "Firearms Certified" or "Bow Certified."
• Apparently, "Test 50" indicates you have taken an Opt Out test for Military or over Age 50 hunters. https://cpw.state.co.us/learn/Pages/HE-Test-Out.aspx

I also emailed to have my certifications validated per @cnelk comment.

Overall, legally speaking, I'm not concerned at all. I have a state-issued Hunter Education card. And it comes with me on almost all hunts. The menu on the preference point application was just unclear.

To be clear, in Colorado a rifle certification hunter safety course is good for both rifle and archery. However, if you put "bow" I don't think that qualifies for a rifle tag.
