I thought this might be worth a separate thread. Colorado Governor Polis appointed Dr Peter Maguire, a west slope veterinarian, to the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Commission to fill the sportsmen’s (hunting and angling) representative position. Maguire openly campaigned for CatsArentTrophies and Proposition 127, the ballot measure to ban mountain lion hunting and other species. Attached is the petition he signed endorsing Prop 127. So now Colorado hunter will have a representative on the commission that sought out a permanent ban on hunting of mountain lions and bobcats. It is an insult to every hunter in Colorado.

With the addition of Maguire and Niemiec to the commission there is now a majority voting bloc of commissioners that have publicly supported a ban on mountain lion hunting. Expect them to very soon overturn the will of the people on Prop 127 and seek out a ban on mountain lion hunting.

This should not be allowed to stand. If you are a Colorado resident reach out to your state senator.
