Just an FYI, if you shoot a wolf with a collar, remove the collar immediately and throw it in your truck. The collars have a "mortality" mode that sends out a special signal when the collar stays in the same place for a couple days.

So, Colorado P&W can kill the Breeding Male of the King Mountain pack, during a "collaring operation" and it's fine.

Ranch hand shoots to protect cattle and it's potentially fines and jail time.
