Colorado Elk Back Door Is Open

The back door to see if you drew a Colorado elk tag is now open. You can now check to see if you drew your first choice elk tag in Colorado by checking to see if your preference points went to "zero" in 2013. If you gained a point, you didn't draw your FIRST choice, however there is still a possibility you drew your SECOND choice tag. Here is the link:

Unit 421 we have 7 going but some are deer, some elk, some archery, 3 of us are backpacking in.

The draw year will say 2012 the important part is to see if you still have the same amount of preference points as you did before. If you are missing any or see a 0 in the preference points column then you have been drawn. If you still have the points that you did before then you were not drawn. Otherwise you may need to clean your cache to see updated info or the colorado dow site is experiencing problems.

dbaker that means you did draw your elk tag. Congrats to yall that did draw. I didn't draw my smokepole tag this year so I will be archery hunting but my wife drew her rifle bull tag so it should be a good year.

Ok i have been hunting colorado for a few years (12) and never seen the "Backdoor" Mine still says 2013 - 480 res elk app. Then in preference points in elk shows res elk 0 points 0 weighted points 2010 ??? it does not show 2012 or 2013 in the preference points area. so what does that mean?
