Looking for some general info on unit 81. I live in pagosa so I have a general sense of the unit and what the country looks like. I put in this year with 15 points so I should have a good chance of drawing.
Are there a decent amount of antelope on public? Realistic opportunities? Etc….
Pm me if you wouldn’t mind sharing anything.
Thanks

Age 60 is his last big antelope hunt? Why would that be it's not that intensive a hunt usually. I'm 67 and plan on hunting them until I'm at least 90.
Hes a non resident now, he built up most of the points as a resident so he likely wont build up again with how expensive applying is becoming. Do you have any intel on 81 or other Antelope units for rifle with 19 or 20 points?

How did the hunt go.

Hunt went great! PM me for details. I made this post at the beginning of my WKR career. I have learned my lesson since then. Haha

3 years later here...I put in for 81 with 17 pts this year. Threw the kitchen sink at the CO draw (given the changes on the horizon) with multiple species so we'll see if/what I draw and use dependent on outcome of everything and available pto etc. Nonetheless, would be interested in how you did and your take on the area while I wait in limbo for the remainder of spring
