Depends... you wanting snow or not wanting snow? Some parts of the state have received multiple feet already this season - so if your looking for elk to move down lower... thats good?

IF your looking to go skiing soon like i am... its bueno .....

If you were hoping to kill elk at 13k feet? Maybe less good. Probably a stray bull or two still roaming around in a few feet of snow but i imagine the cows have moved down to the snow line. It's supposed to be pretty dry in the near forecast i think. We had a couple storms in the past 2 weeks that dropped all of the snow and i think it will start to dissipate until later in the season. Dont quote me on that, im not a meterologist.

Pretty good amount of snow last Thursday in SW CO with colder temps that followed after the snow fell. We saw tons of tracks in the fresh snow. More snow coming there in 2 days. It's a big state and I don't know where you're hunting (or whether you think snow is good or bad), but snow for hunting big game is good.

Not looking good?!
I don't know.......they're forecasting some snow later this week, so I'd say it's looking good. But I still haven't been able to snag a 3rd season B tag. A buddy told me that there was snow on the ground for 2nd season, and his daughter shot her cow yesterday. (y)

Looking at a couple dustings fri/Sunday in my unit and cold!!! I love it! I was hunting in a t-shirt last year at 9.5k feet.

Congrats to your nephew, Hondo, that's a nice one!

Same. I'm looking at single digits where we'll be. I'd rather be cold than hot!

Couple feet of snow on top not too far from where I'm at. It starts thinning out around 9k feet to just a dusting. Not alot of movement yet. Although if i had a tag there are 2 really nice 170-180 bucks hanging around the rv park and a bunch of does

I really like active snow. It just makes the game much easier (at least to me.) I think I learn more about how they move in an area when it snows too. Just experiencing their movement during a snowing season really helped me one season when it wasn't snowing.
