So you guys saying we should do this next year?

We ran it 10 years and always wondering if it's ran it's course or if it's truly helping guys know their MER?

Or is it just the great prizes that keep it going?

I think this has dramatically clarified MER for me. And I suspect it's helped a lot of the other guys here, based on the seeming increase in hit rate the last couple years.

To me when we started everyone that was honest with themselves got a taste of humble pie, so it definitely had an impact. I do wonder if it's became more about the prizes than the process.

If your grandma doesn't hunt and is only shooting 3 shots a year and they all are in the CBC for an extra chance to win a awesome prize, then something is lost in the spirit of the challenge and it loses it's usefulness.

On the other hand I seen a bunch of shots where members used likely hunting senerio's to truly test thier processes like it was a shot on an animal.

I propose we slightly reduce the number that can enter the CBC and those that enter must plan on archery hunting during that year.

Bud when you see the luck they bring me this season, we'll have to upgrade the servers on the CBC opening morning to keep the site from crashing. Everyone will be trying to beg, borrow, or steal a pair of those lucky holey drawers.

Thank you @realunlucky and @robby denning for putting this on every year. It gets me out shooting broadheads each year earlier than normal. I also now shoot year round. I would still participate without the prizes but really appreciate chance at a prize. I now also complete my own personal cold bow challenge one or two more times throughout the year.

Lastly, since I started participating in this challenge I pay way more attention to my first arrow hit with practice and often shoot my first arrow of day with broadhead and then switch to field points
