OK, I see what I did. I was just congratulating him on his shot. Fixed!Did @jonesn3 post a video or is he poaching credit for my range?![]()
@BigWoods thanks for hanging with us for 8 years of CBC. Good shooting man. Post #40
Well thanks Robby! All I'll say is don't hold your breath to much for my next couple shots. I feel I should be able to do it which is what made that decision. But id be lying if I said I'm 100% at that distance. This is perfect situation on my home turf, where the animal can't move. In a real situation there's many more variables.
Can say that twice.I don’t see Billy Goat on the thread. Is he back behind his target looking for his arrow?
Well watch for you.Can say that twice.
I have been busy, took stuff to stock sale this morning first thing, then working. Now probably shooting tomorrow so will need to wait til Monday.
I shoot a 5 pin fixed sight. I kind of want to get a moveable sight but my problem is that I actually tend to shoot better with gap shooting. I was struggling at 60 yards the other night, stepped up to 55 and center punched with my broadhead. Then I stepped back past 60 and was shooting slightly better than at 60. The farther back I get the more my pins cover the center and I really struggle with not being able to see the center even with my pin floating on and off center. So yes it is amazing what only a few yards can do.@Mish-pop same here. I was hoping to move my MER to 65 this year but practicing at the last week I was missing half my shots. Amazing what 5 yards difference makes when you’re not all that good lol. But you nailed it! Post #39

Also I saw your post that you were feeling nervous. When I grabbed my bow and stepped up to shoot I was surprised that I was nervous! Especially considering I have been practicing several nights a week and its just a target![]()
65.1 it is!Well got home with a little daylight, so shot real quick.
If I end up not going to shoot tomorrow, means I just need to shoot one arrow and can be wrapped up Monday. If I go shoot, I'll edit my post and restart on Monday.
You as well sir!It takes a lot of guts to show off on the Internet.
Good luck on your next two arrows.
lol, too funny!! I guess I should do a video next time is what I’m hearingDid @jonesn3 post a video or is he poaching credit for my range?![]()
Good Q! When hunting from horseback, it’s easy to lose arrows. You’re 5 feet higher in the canopy so more brush, limbs grabbing at you. And if you have a packhorse, the lead rope has a way of knocking arrows loose. And a it’s very dangerous for the horse when a broad head hits the ground—another reason I use expandables. Once I’m on the ground, I just use a pocket knife on the zip tie tab to release it then I can reuse it multiple times.@robby denning why the zip tie on the quiver? That your anti second shot device?
But you’re in! Cecil from Precision rifles always reminded me we don’t get extra credit for hitting center vital on an animal.I am really annoyed with my shot this morning. I could not get my sight picture to look right/fixated on it for too long. Anyways, I still clipped the edge of the square I’m calling vitals.

I’m out here drinking my coffee and giving my mom a call before I go out and shoot.
Sorry Robby, your faith in me was not rewarded. I can confirm that M3s and FMJ can with stand a wooden shed door two times in a row.@Elkhntr08 that’s a small vital, braver than me

Very few first arrow misses this year everyone. Which is great. Nothing sucks worse than blowing your first arrow in the challenge, you don’t even wanna come back and finish. Except for @CorbLand he will Robin Hood his next two arrows for redemption
Hahaha

Yes, you just have to upload it to YouTube and use the share code. Just paste it right into your post.@robby denning is there any was to post videos? I want you guys to laugh at me this morning. Lol
Well, let’s call it a penetration test thenSorry Robby, your faith in me was not rewarded. I can confirm that M3s and FMJ can with stand a wooden shed door two times in a row.
