Hey all, I have a browning xbolt stainless stalker 300wm, 26” fluted barrel with muzzle break. I’ve just recently gotten into finely tuning my long range shots. I’m loading 190 grain nosler accubond long range bullets with 79 grains of h100. Shoots sub moa at 200 yards. But every time I reach out to 600 or farther, the first shot is always high. But when my barrel gets warm I can hit dead on out to 1200 yards consistently. Before I start wasting a bunch of bullets chasing my reticle to try and fix this I’d see if any of y’all have some beginners tips on this somewhat advanced topic, thank you in advance!

At what distance does it begin "walking" up on the cold barrel, somewhere between 200 and 600? If you change to be dead on at 600, how will that affect your 200 MOA? How high is high at 600 and beyond? Any chance you have a slight crosswind from the left where you shoot?

My Fieldcraft did that, they ended up giving me a new rifle. Bedding or improperly made barrel.
