While each of us has our "sacred cow" whether it be rifle, muzzleloader or archery be careful, it certainly will and is being used as a "conquer and divide" tool by some.

We're all in this together.

Blaze Orange during archery.... I am still letting that sink in.

I'm not. I let it deflect completely off my common sense shield never to be seen again.

This is one of those areas where you just have to scratch your head. My wearing orange has absolutely NOTHING to do with the safety of anyone except myself. I don't need a law, or regulation, or the government to try to step in to protect ME.....from myself or anyone else for that matter. This isn't a case like wearing a seat belt where insurance companies perhaps are affected by those that don't wear them. This is absolutely 100% on me.

To top it off.......my buddy who isn't an archery hunter goes with me to hunt a week every year. He wouldn't be required to wear orange because he doesn't have a tag. And like I already stated earlier.......nobody else in the woods during hunting season have to have orange either......unless you have a tag. It's idiotic.

At some point our government and agencies of the government HAVE to let, allow, make people accountable and responsible for themselves. If I want to jump out of a plane without a parachute, there shouldn't be any government official there to stop me....physically or regulatorally. When we sign our tags, that signing should relieve any and all from any type of culpability or otherwise while I'm in the field.

Yes we are, I have never had too much of a problem with ML during archery, cant say I particularly cared for it in the middle of archery. In my neck of the woods the ML guys don't typically get more than a couple hundred yards from their transportation. I don't think this is so much about a "sacred cow "method at least for me any way. I like to hunt Mule Deer in the third rifle season. If they are some how worried that a ML hunter is going to accidently shoot a bow hunter is crazy. Yes I know any thing is possible but come on!! If they are going to require bow hunters to wear blaze orange then they should require it for turkey and waterfowl hunters as well, lets see how that flies! So yes we need to stick together. It would be nice if we the hunters actually had some one that would listen to us and speak for us. It seems as a group we are too fragmented I think we need something like the NRA. Or as I stated earlier hunt in another state one that appreciates hunters and their money. Because I think CPW treats hunters and anglers with utter contempt.

I don't care if they pass that blaze orange law for archery or not, I won't wear it during bow season unless they make every dirt biker, atver, bicycler, and hiker wear it.

That is exactly my point! Very well worded if I say so myself. When will government agencies quit trying to regulate everything so much that becomes against the law to breathe? I am all for removing warning labels and letting mother nature run its course. Enough is enough! I don't need anyone or anything looking out for my well being. I have learned a lot of hard lessons in life and wouldn't have it any other way, but for crying out loud, let's make a hunter wear blaze orange to go on a hunt, but allow greenies go hike around in a deer outfit. I have zero issues with the greenies and hippies that share the public land, but let's get real here.

Moving the muzzleloader season to first rifle would be fine if you only want to hunt elk. I mostly hunt deer and would not put in for muzzleloader season anymore if it's the first week of October.
