CO Elk hunt — Let’s see some photos of rag horns

Hey folks,

Long time hunter, soon to be first time elk hunter. My dad, buddy, and I drew archery elk tags in CO (3 PP unit) this year. I’m fully prepared to shoot the first legal animal I get an opportunity at if I’m fortunate to get said opportunity. I’d like to see some good examples of rag horns and younger 4x4 and 5x5s. See a lot of big elk around here but want to see some on the other end of the scale. Thanks y’all!

This is what a TV-video hunter would call a "naas fahve ba fahve", and he would sit "fahve" feet behind it to make it look a LOT bigger. Typical Colorado 2.5 year old bull.

From my first trip 'out west' to a CO OTC unit. Sub-10 yard frontal shot and ~50 yard death run and he crashed hard. He was every bit as wedged between those trees as it looks in the pic and I'm sure glad there was no audience for the comedy show it was to get his ass un-stuck

Yeah he was the herd rag. I think he was 285ish if I remember correctly.
