Co. 54 what's it like?

I am hunting 54 with a buddy first rifle season this year. Beautiful but steep looking country anyone have experience in this area? We are in excellent shape but realize there are physical limitations without pack animals, any pointers on this unit?

Get in way better shape than you think you need too.

Every day you miss working out the elk are getting stronger.

Hopefully there will be 2 less bulls there by the time you get there as my buddy and I drew there for early archery!! I have never hunted that unit before, those pictures look great!! Good luck to you, I will be happy to share any experiences I have there, when I return...
