You'll be fine with that man! Just roll with it and you'll learn. I hunted for many years in blue jeans and heavy old walmart camo. Is the nicer stuff great? Sure. Do I kill anything more with it? No. Less I think :)

camofire.com always has a ton of deals. I've heard the midway stuff is good for the price too.

One thing that would be nice is a light weight warm puffy to put in the pack.

I'm not familiar with all of the clothing on your list, but if there's much cotton in there, I'd be hesitant about that stuff. It just becomes a liability when it's wet. If your budget feels like a major constraint, I would spend a little time on Facebook Marketplace and Ebay. There can be some great deals on hardly used hunting clothing.. Have fun!

I also run hot and I would just skip insulated pants personally. A merino baselayer and the Wranglers will be more than enough for the few hours its cold.

Another pro tip as someone who runs hot; be bold, start cold. You will sweat through your base layers on your morning hike. I usually don't even have a jacket or hoodie on for the hike in.

Glad to hear I have some what of a idea then. Yes, I am watching campfire for deals. Actually found a king camo puffy jacket on there.

I plan on doing so more shop just a rough list to see if I was in a ballpark. The cotton is a good call. I will double check that.

Those wrangler pants aren’t going to be very comfortable for hiking a lot. Id get something with at least a little stretch, and synthetic. Camofire has black Ovis ones on sale regularly that fit that description.

Every pair of cathart bibs I’ve ever owned were cotton duck.
Maybe yours are different but may want to make sure.

Those pants aren't jeans, they are synthetic with stretch.

I would ditch the wader pants, Carhartt bibs, and real tree jacket.

Add puffy pants and jacket.

Without specific naming...

Base layers: merino
Next layer: synthetic hooded shirt or fleece
Pants: whatever is synthetic with stretch
Insulation: puffy top and bottom

Rain set

Gloves: something like a mechanix and something warmer

I would swap the balaclava for a neck gaiter.

Sorry, this a old list. I had changed a few items around I found a old puffy jacket at home and I will look into a puffy pants. I switched the balaclava for a neck gator after taking to my buddy. Thanks for the tips.

I’ve worn them a tone in a different environment (work) with success.
But I personally don’t think they would make the cut for me.

When the legs are frozen solid to the knee, I just go home. Not into a tent.

Not trying to dissect your program, but something to consider.

Oh was not trying to argue with or anything. That is a very good point and I totally forgot about not being able to home. Lol
