Heading to Wy for a First week of Nov. mule deer hunt into the 2f area. We are packing in on horses and staying in a walled tent for 7 days. This is a rifle hunt. Hiking from camp and glassing. This is also my first "pack in" trip. I have lot of the gear from a previous trip, but I'm a gear nut and am always looking to improve my supplies. No guide this is a DIYS deal.
Thanks

What gear do you have? That would be a good place to start. I'll suggest optics optics optics. Spend on them as they are very important. Also find yourself a good daypack/meat hauler so you can bring the deer to camp.

First week of November in Wyoming could be hit or miss, probably both :)

Use the layering system, and be ready for everything.

Sitka Merino base layers.

Kelvin pants and jacket layered underneath an outer shell like Timberline pants and a Jetstream jacket.

A lot depends on what you already have and what conditions you expect, however using the Sitka layering you will be able to cover it all! Good luck.
