Hello all,
I have a rough Rem. 700 that came out of a flood. Barrel is pitted and will be replaced with a Remage, but the receiver looks good. But if I am gong to go to the trouble of barreling it, I want to smooth out the sandpaper action it has. Now to be fair, it was rough before the flood, so the roughness isn't corrosion, its Remington.
I have read suggestions of JB bore paste, lapping compound, Flitz, etc... Any real world experience on slicking up a Remington 700 SPS?
Thanks!
