Yes. Leave tape on and shoot through it...no problems!

Yep, just remember to retape after you are finished shooting so you keep debris out during butchering and the pack out.

We keep a couple of spare pieces wrapped around the barrel a few inches from the end for just this purpose.

I cut the fingers off black latex gloves and electrical tape around the lower end to hold in place. I have used small ziplocs applied the same way on the big slab brake on my canyon rifle.

on a hunt when only one or two shots fired very little. may take a small basic kit just in case . on a prairie dog shoot my cleaning kit is a sears tool tub about 2x3x2 and is jammed with all sorts of stuff from extra scopes/rings to a dozen different solvents. dozens of jags and bags of patches screwdriver sets torq wrench anything that has ever been needed for a range trip is in the back of the truck......
