Blowing primers

I have a Springfield waypoint 6.5 prc that has roughly 350 rounds through it. I started blowing primers out of Hornady eldm 147 grain factory loads. Blowing primers is inconsistent meaning I can shoot 2 rounds and third round blows. Shoot 10 rounds and round 7 and 10 blow. Very random and inconsistent. The primers seem to fall out. I am wondering if anyone else is having this issue with the Hornady match ammo or this issue with a waypoint?

Have you just been strictly shooting Hornady factory ammo? What about another brand?

I have just been shooting the Hornady ammo.

I’d try a different box or two of something that’s not Hornady to rule that out first. If you’re still popping primers, then you need to look elsewhere.

Probably a hot batch of ammo. But if that same lot was running fine for the first 350 rounds and is just now blowing primers, in that case you might need to scrub your chamber and/or barrel

I would bet lunch, not knowing anything else, it’s a carbon ring forming.

My PRC is incredibly picky about being cleaned about every 40-50 rounds. It builds a carbon ring and I get increased pressure before it ever starts giving me bad groups.
