cleaning help!!

If you don't have something constructive to add then don't post. I would rather have 3000 RS members that want to really Help/learn than 10,000 that just like to type! I'm all for joking around but if someone asks a question. Lets TRY to have a real answer!

I apologize. I was more or less being sarcastic. Plus I was just trying to get a little rise out of Littlebuff. This is why i spent most of high school in the hall.

I'd call the manufacture and see what they suggest. I only say this because they engineered the things, and could suggest the best solution. My Leicas got sand in the eye cups and even Leica never got all of it out when I sent them back.

There going in tomorrow. I added a note about eye cup options/upgrade so well see what they say. My next few weekends are busy anyway so I likely won't get out hunting much. Hopefully there back in a couple weeks when we have some good snow in the hills. I'll update about the eye cups for HD models

i dropped mine in the sand and have the same problem. I ran mine under the faucet and most of it came out.. What didnt is finally working its way out... I will send mine in after season next year to get serviced b4 my moose hunt.. But dont want to have to send them in twice

i added in my repair form that if there were any different eye cup options i would be interested in exploring them. hope to hear back this week. they went out friday. i have to say the eye cups are the only thing i can complain about on these bino's and really its nt that big of a deal. there incredibly comfortable and have great eye relief but i just dont need them to be adjustable. for me there all the way out all the time. if the grooves were some how enclosed it would be a non issue. and next time im hunting in the sand my gloves are coming off before i grab my bino's. if i had done that i wouldnt have got sand on them at all since they were in my bivy the whole time. i hate sand

If vortex doesn't have any wings. Swarovski makes some that slip over the eye cup and work pretty well. They were just a pain to use with any type of enclosed harness
