So I suppose this is a good problem to have my family wants to buy me Christmas gifts and I can’t think of anything I either don’t have can’t buy myself or affordable enough that I feel ok asking for it.
So give me some ideas please.
Ik it seems like I’m spoiled and I suppose I am my parents love me to death and so does my wife what can I say.

Tell your family to use ChatGPT to get gift ideas.

Just enter any pertinent information - age, gender, likes, dislikes, etc - and they will get all sorts of answers.

Good luck.

Gift cards for your favorite gear. I usually tell my wife not to get me anything because it ends up something I don’t want or even use. 🤣🤦🏼‍♂️ the thought is there. She does good when she asks my brother what to get me.

I’m all about gift cards but that’s boring for both sides. I usually tell them a piece of clothing that I am looking at, or replacing a worn out item. I asked for a new bino harness this year because my threads are coming apart on my other one and it’s a matter of time before I’ll have to get one myself. Then whenever I send them a photo of an animal I’ll get the, “is that the (clothing item, or bino thingy) I got you?!?”
They feel good they got me something I use. I feel good that I didn’t have to buy it tomorrow. Win win.

“All sorts of answers” is right. I have had some absolutely frightening interactions with ChatGPT. To the point a co-worker nearly ruined our entire GTiN schema by trusting it. Oof.

My wife’s family gives so many gift cards it’s like they might as well just hand each other cash - there’s no real gift, it’s just a circular transfer of money. I get the kids flashlights and every weird canned meat/fish I can find. . . and black powder pistols - everyone loves a black powder pistol even if they never shoot it.

I pretend to like plays and get tickets to numerous ones as gifts. I quite honestly hate plays, but eating out and having brunch beforehand is nice, and the wife loves plays so it’s a date. During the dancing and singing I think about guns, scopes, what the weather is like at the range, rating the figures of performers, what part of the house to paint this month, funny cat Tic Tocs, wondering if Hannah Baron’s grandma is hot, and many other things I’d rather be doing somewhere else. It’s a couple hours I’ll never get back, but it keeps us happily married and that allows me to spend way too much time and money burning powder, so it’s win-win. Lol

You know you like those plays.
I'm more curious about Hannah Baron's mother. Never know what you're going to get out of the Troy, AL area.

I think your handle is missing an "-is" at the end, with Pin being misspelled.

My wife always says my gift ideas are dumb and boring. Shooting bags aren’t dumb, swing out pockets are exciting, ear pro is essential…She probably won’t ever understand but I keep on loving her

Move past a 'gift' and go for an experience, make a memory. Tell them you want them all together and go on a trip.

I keep a note on my phone of gear mentioned on podcasts or rokslide I am curious to try out, but not curious enough to buy myself. This becomes my christmas list.

Examples:

human gear capCap
rick young bino harness
FHF gear rifle sling

Im a gift card guy personally.
Would much rather my family give me a gift card to Bass Pro, Cabelas or even REI instead of getting me something.
My wifes side of the family is not hunter/outdoors type people so I dont need crap from Maceys.
At least with the BPS/Cabelas cards I can buy reloading gear.

Go cow cuddling with the fam at a Krishna cow sanctuary. Quite honestly the stupidest thing a human can do. . .

. . . Ok, the girls had had fun, then we had fun watching and scratching the dang things. Cows do love a good scratch, and cows who grew up getting cuddled by a constant stream of cute city gals really get into it. Hawaii cows don’t really get exposed to dust, so they are easily the cleanest bovines outside those hand washed at 4H competitions. We still laugh at great gramps who limped around with a trick hip and a Krishna dude high as hell offered to pray for him - that alone was worth the $20 admission. lol

Not sure what your budget is but I make/sell camp chair heaters that run on BBQ briquettes. It's something that the whole family could enjoy

My wife and I usually buy each other something small and thoughtful, then we'll go on a trip somewhere later in the year.
