I am in the market for a backcountry gun. I am new to backcountry hunting. I grew up in Texas and am in my early 20's, so I haven't had a need for a true backcountry gun before.
Long story short, but I can get Christensen rifles for dealer pricing. The only problem is that I have heard of pretty significant problems with their rifles recently. If I were paying full retail, I would definitely go with something else, like a Seekins PH3. My question is, are those issues overblown, and/or does the fact that I can get it for essentially 50% off make it worth it to just go with the Christensen? Probably a Ridgeline in 7mm PRC.
Thanks in advance.
