I'm considering chopping down a windage turret on my SWFA. Does anyone have a video showing how they did this or instructions?
I've seen it on here a few times...just can't find it when I need it.This is a thing?
What did you use to cut the stem down? Any pics of the stem itself you can share?I pulled the windage turret on mine and cut the brass stem flush with the scope housing. After cutting it flush, I cut a small groove in the end of the stem so that I could adjust windage with a coin or screwdriver. Then used a furniture leg end as a cover.

Thanks. I'll give this a whirl.I used a cutoff wheel on a dremel tool.

Can the turret be put back on when it shortened?I used a cutoff wheel on a dremel tool.

No.Can the turret be put back on when it shortened?
I honestly don’t know.Is this easily reversible with new parts from SWFA? Or is it permanently permanent.
I’m sure it would but less risky than deleting a truck under warranty. I haven’t done either but plenty of people do.Would modifications like this on scopes void warranty?
How ridiculous. SWFA has cranium wedged in rectum.
Why? Don’t like it, don’t buy. Like it, buy. I don’t see the issue but I’ve never been accused of being the sharpest tool in the shed. The turret length on SWFA scopes really doesn’t bother me, but that’s me.How ridiculous. SWFA has cranium wedged in rectum.
For starters, these ridiculously and unnecessarily tall turrets. Toss in an extreme inability to manage inventory for good measure too.For what?
