Choosing a magnum cartridge

Fair question, no? Guys who go around and kill more animals than they need is ok?

Including exotics I killed 57 in calendar year 2024. That doesn't include pigs. Did I need all that meat? Nope. But it all got used/donated.

There are always people in different situations/conditions than you. Don't project your experiences/morals/ethics on to them.

👍🏻

Correct. FAR more than those that do and it’s not even close.
I am shooting the 10,3x68 RWS at most things. It is a .413 250 grain bullet on a 338 Winchester case. Similar to the .416 Taylor, but I am using lead free bullets because of German law.

Who determines need?

Maybe he can start his own thread as to not distract from this one?

Topics could be…

1. How many predators are okay to “slay” when I use zero of that meat?

2. How much game meat does a family of 4 go through in a year, when it’s eaten nearly every day?

3. How many friends and family members are benefiting from excess game meat?

Etc.

Yep. If legally harvested 100% ok.

What’s not ok is hunters busting the balls of other legal hunters. Enough antis out there.

The most prolific hunter I know has killed thousands of deer. Thousands. He has fed more underserved people than you have met. Judge not my man
