Did my 5 hour break in over the weekend. The oil fill is a pain...low to high to overflowing is probably less than an ounce. I overflowed into the bottom of the plastic case, which is honeycomb shaped. Huge pain to get the excess oil out of each of those squares.

Ran great. I don't think I even used half a tank (the gauge sucks inside the filler cap). On Eco mode, it is very quiet. I would say quieter than the 2400w yamaha we normally use.

I found myself struggling to find anything to plug in to raise the rpm of the generator. I have switched over to all battery powered stuff and all my work lights are LEDs.

I ran mine at 9200 ft for 10 days with no issues. We ran every night. Only thing was I tried to run a small space heater and it would run it at 750 watt but if I switched it to 1500 watt the generator would flip a breaker. I kind of was expecting that since at the higher elevation it won't have the same power. Ran the coffee pot just fine plus all the charging items.

One thing we did find out my dad has an e bike. It wouldn't charge the batteries on econo mode. If you tried the RPM would go up a hair but the batteries wouldn't charge much even after 8 hours. If we took it off econo mode they would charge fully in just a few hours.

I have had the exact same experience. Ran mine at 9500' without issues. It would run the electric heater at 1500 watts, but the lights would flicker and the generator rpms would bog down. Basically not capable of that load at that elevation. It would run fine with the heater on 750 plus the lights and charging equipment.

You lose 3% power for every 1,000 ft elevation. So this unit drops down to 1350/1500 at those elevations. I'm guessing they sandbag just a little for safety though.

Yeah I knew there would be power loss at the elevation. I also know they make a jet kit but not sure how much it helps. I live at 1000 ft so not really worth it to me to mess with the jet kit for the amount of time I will use it at 9000 ft. Will say its a great deal at $300.

Quick update- Used the generator at close to 10k ft. No issues at all. I did trip it a couple times not realizing a multiple items were plugged in. I do wish it had an extra 200-300 running watts, but for the price it can't be beat.

Super quiet and run time on a gallon of gas is great.
