Has anyone had any experiences with using a ceramic pot call? I just ordered on from a custom callmaker and will be done in a about a month and half. I just started turkey hunting two years ago and used a slate to get a bird the first year and a glass call last year to bag a bird. This ceramic is getting alot of rave reviews from how it sounds and how easy it is to play. What are some of you guys favorite surface and call? Thanks Scott

I've got an old h.s. strut ceramic that has tipped over quite a few Toms. An even older h.s. strut glass works pretty good for me too.

I never really think about my turkey calls, just grab and go. I am pumped to hear some gobbles though!

I’ve ran a ceramic K&H old yeller for years, killed some birds with it. Last season got a new custom ceramic by Chad Hutchison. Good call, like it a lot. This season I got green slate by Brad Roberts, love this call. If I had to choose would take the green slate.

But I carry multiple calls a field. Mix of pot & box calls. Pulse multiple strikers for my pots.

My ceramic from Olin Humphries is my favorite call to play. It plays easily and requires no conditioning. As for which to hunt with, I let the birds tell me. What works is what sounds most like the hens where I hunt.
