So I haven't used this in the field yet but I just thought of this cool idea for using when hunting. When using my ballistic app there are times where I wish I could have gotten to my data faster, so heres my fix for getting that data when I need it now. When ever I start my day I will go into my app and input all the current data in (baro, temp, wind) then I'll go to chart. When the app displays the chart I'll screenshot it. I'll then set that screen shot as my lock display, so whenever I look at the phone the data is the first thing I see. If you feel you need to update the data just take another screenshot. If I have lots of time I'll use the app but for a quick shot I think this will cut the time needed.

Yep, been doing that for awhile. Great idea, I have taken several screen shots for different conditions.

Yeah, that's good stuff! I used it a little this fall and just deleted 7 range cards I screen shot.

If you use BF, you can air print a range card to throw in your pack. Mine print out at about 1 1/2 times the size of my i6 screen. Nice for the old eyes at last light!

Good idea on the screen shot. I personally use the shooter app and it works good for me. I also have the Darrell holland software program that works good too.

Bulletflight flows smoothly and has been spot on. Very easy and fast to use. Have Shooter on the phone as well, in case everything else burns down and I have no choice

I have 4 different ones loaded on my phone. Bulletflight(M) is by far the easiest to use.

I was using the applied ballistics with the custom bullet drag for the 180 gr berger and it was close but I was still having to make corrections and little tweaks. One day I was shooting out to 1900 yards and after I had finally tweaked it in just for kicks I ran it through bullet flight with the g1 model for the berger and guess what it was dead nuts on. After that I just went back to bulletflight and have been really happy

I don't remember if it was Sam or Shawn Carlock that turned me onto BF. But their first round hit evidence doesn't lie. Plus I had a very long shot using it:)

I guess I'm going to have to try bullet flight

Theoretically, they all use the same algorithm to come up with a firing solution. The ELR guys really like Applied Ballistics, and I guess Shooter is similar to AB. When I started using an iPhone, I had to wean myself off Exbal. Bulletflight synced up perfectly to Exbal, Shooter didn't. Glitch? Bad input on my part? It doesn't really matter. Once you have confidence and a lot of field time using something that works, you stick with it. Don't let us talk you out of Shooter, you might hate BF:)

I will throw this in...I am testing an Accuracy 1st Whiz Wheel, which is an analog ballistic calculator. So far, everything I've thrown at it has matched up with Exbal. The "teeth" aren't as fine as a program like BF or AB, but it is more than adequate for .25 MOA accuracy to trans sonic range. I like it!

I assume you guys get the same solution using Bullet flight as Shooter? I must not be putting something right into Bullet flight because it's constantly hot for me and Shooter is dead on. I'm using the L1 cheap version of bullet flight. Not sure what I'm doing wrong

I just checked with my 338. At 1000 yards, with no Coriolis, SD, or wind, they are within .1 MOA of each other for me.
