Issue. Getting the wind set properly.
What I want the thing to do it...
Set the wind on a compass bearing. As I'm ranging targets at different bearings the bino always outputs corrections based on that wind bearing.
Unless I'm missing it the leica app only uses wind based on direction of fire (a clock from where you are pointing, that doesnt work in nrl).
The applied ballistics app works and does what i want, but it doesn't push the output into the bino. I can only see it in the app.
If I disconnect the leica app, and only connect the applied ballistics app. The bino reverts to the default display cycle and only shows the LOS, elevation, ehr, elevation.
Is there a way to get the applied ballistics app to push outputs into the bino? It seems like it only receives data.
Is there a setting in the leica app to change the wind from a dof clock, to a compass bearing?
My current work arounds are to leave the applied ballistics app open and read off of it after I range, then write that down.
Or just set a generic 5 mph wind from 9 o'clock and do mental math from that output.
(Or set it to zero and just do mental math for wind)
Anyone play with one of these overpriced POS's?
Real talk, this would make a great hunting bino. Glass is great. For 99% glassing and 1% ranging it would be fine.
But in an nrl context it's rough. Maybe I'm just missing something.
