Cell Cams and Pope & Young

+1 for P&Y's decision.

We've spent 5 generations as a family studying and figuring out our traditional public land elk and mule deer hunting grounds on foot, patterning the animals, determining bedding areas and escape routes, etc. All to have the areas flooded with OnX + Trail Cam obsessed idiots that haven't put in any actual work and push all the bucks and bulls into hiding on the opener.

They can ban compounds from the record books next IMO -- archery isn't primitive if you aren't shooting a stick.

I've been following this advice for almost a decade and life's never been better on the hunting scene. I could give two shits about being famous. I do it for me, not them.

I've quit posting pictures of my animals some time ago. I'm happy with all of the animals I killed and I've never been happier not sharing except with people I actually consider friends.

P & Y keeps a second book.

Not mine:

One of the 3 in the series.

I place cell cams on public land that is several hours from home. Prior to cell cams, I’d only get down to check them about once every two to three months. It’s been pretty nice to at least be able to see the pics real time since time doesn’t really allow me to get down there much. I have yet to hunt the piece, just gathering intel for next year

Not sporting enough. They should ban recurves and longbows for being too advanced. Only us true hunters wearing a loincloth made from our first kill that we killed with our bare hands, and a spear we handmade with the penis bone of a walrus should be allowed in the books.
