That is a very true statement. But the implications magnify with the size of the animal. The deer I entered in 2009 was in the top 5 typical deer of all time in the county I live in. I had one trail cam pic of him at night and shot him two days later on Oct the 5th. I didn't have any social media and didn't send any pictures out or tell anyone where I was hunting. I guess that angered people for some reason because the rumor mill started churning and by the time the story got back to me... I had poached the deer out of season, on private land, at night. All false information of course, but it really got under my skin nonetheless.

I agree with the position of the club. If you dont agree with or like our rules then dont participate in the club and do not enter animals into our records program. Pretty simple really. Nobody is twisting your arm and forcing you.

Here in AZ game and fish consider it not fair chase, and cell/wireless cams are in fact illegal to use if during the season you have a tag for.
With the way deer numbers look here, I don’t blame them one bit. I’d go so far as to say I’d back closing the state (or most units) for a few years, emend though I’ve come to love hunting them.

P&Y has their rules, if you don’t agree, don’t join or submit anything for recording.

I thought Arizona no longer restricted the use of game cameras in season? with overlapping seasons, isn't there always a hunt open? I.e. predators.

If it was important enough for to me to enter the deer, knowing that I did things the right way and having my deer removed because some ******* prick was envious and wanted to try to trump up some bullshit or just create question about the entry, Yeah, I think that's bad and just out of principle its wrong.

I use cell cams so obviously I don’t have a moral dilemma with them. That said, it seems awful ironic to start a thread like this and call others the problem with hunting because you’re worried about killing a deer and it not being allowed in a freaking book.

I guess you must have missed the "problem" I was trying to address, and it had nothing to do with P&Y or their ruling on "real time" cell cameras, or someone expressing their opinion. The "problem" that I have is when someone voices their opinion on something and precedes with or follows with making a statement like "I would make them illegal" or "I think they should be banned"...... Do I do things differently than you do? I would say that I most definitely do. But I will never advocate for something that you do to be taken away because it is different than what I do. Do you get that, Wind Gypsy? Do you understand that if I think that hunting from a treestand gives someone an unfair advantage. I will voice my opinion if asked and then simply hunt from the ground. I won't tell you that I think treestands should be made illegal.

Unless I am mistaking the club never mailed you an invite to enter any animal into our records program. Futher more we didnt force you to adhere to our rules or regulations. That's totally on you, if you want to participate fine, do it. If not dont.
What you did prove with this tread is that that there are some people not worth having in organizations, meaning you.
No club or organization can be all things to all people, member like myself are human and we all have different thoughts and ideas, wants and needs. The club is made up and governed by those same men. They do the best they can trying to balance their own thoughts those of the membership.

If you dont like that than you have at least three options. First Dont be a part of it. Second be apart of it and help to change it in a direction that reflects you and like minded members.
Or thrid go post thread on Rokside and make an complete ass of yourself.

I agree with P&Y. Most use this system as to not intrude on ground that holds good deer...for fear of bumping them or mitigating a chance to harvest. BUT, there are bad apples in every group that will abuse the technology to harvest that said deer unfairly. My 2 pennies

I know what is right and what is wrong, I know what "fair chase" is to me and don't need a bunch of fat old turds trying to tell me what the deal is.
