Casper wyoming mule deer

I hunt in eastern Montana and I've seen many abandoned trailers along the roads cause they couldnt get 'em out or in. They obviously came back later but the grease is tough to get around without a trailer.

Last question. As far as scouting goes, I will be scouting in August. But I'll be unable to go back again until the hunt begins in October because of some Colorado and Wyoming elk tags that my buddies drew, and I'll be along for. Someone told me that if I find the deer in August, that they should be nearby come October. Has that been a generally true statement in your experience?
I disagree. They may be nearby, or possibly transitioning, but their habits will change dramatically and you will need different tactics to find them. Velvet deer are different beasts than hard horned bucks.
