I just wanted to take a moment to highlight the outstanding customer service and professionalism at CarbonSix Rifle Barrels. Gene personally oversees each purchase, ensuring you're completely satisfied. It's one of the rare places where you can call and speak directly to someone—no endless menus or voicemails! If you're in the market for a carbon barrel, I highly recommend giving them a try—you won’t be disappointed.
 
I mean I am not discounting the experience of others because I know folks have had a lot of issues with them- but I’ve purchased 4 barrels from them and lead times have all been shorter than quoted and customer service has always been great. Not to mention all the barrels have shot fantastic.

The only issues have been tight headspacing but as a handloader it’s technically a pro
 
If this guy can figure out the business side of making barrels, he has the machining side dialed imo. Gene's barrels shoot!! I was glad when I did not see another big sale on his barrels. The lead times were crap and way overpromised in most cases. Maybe he's on a better path going forward.
 
Gene is a great guy. He really came through for me last May. He filled an sudden barrel need for me so that I had time for load development prior to a trip to Alaska last year.
 
Sounds like he's dialing in the business side of things. Sometimes, especially with craftsman, that can be a steeper learning curve than their skilled work is, no matter how well intentioned. Good for him.

Very well said. Some are businessmen and some aren’t.
 
I have a barrel on order over 9 months & my brother has 2 on order over 10 months. They haven't replied to his messages & contact. I will say the barrel that I bought a few years ago came in a little before schedule. It is a great product, but not overly impressed with customer service. I y shouldn't take 1-2 weeks to replied to order status email when they will accept calls inquiring about orders.

FYI, my brothers orders are only 9 months and he did receive a email today stating he would receive the barrel within 30 days. Like I said earlier, I love the product and price (on sale). I understand, I fall behind on gettimg with customers in my own business. I didn't come to.complain, just to look if others was waiting for barrels
