Is it suggested to use a CO detector when burning a wood stove in a luxe octopeak

Most people usually only run a CO detector in a shelter with a propane stove or buddy heater going

I just got my hot tent this year. We always ran one when using propane in a pop up. Just wanted to double check.

I’m no expert, but the good part about wood heat, if your tent is filling with CO you’ll smell it and it will smoke you out.

Propane on the other hand, can gas you out with CO and you’ll never smell it, or even know there is a problem til it’s to late.

If your wood stove is smoking in your tent it's awful and you have to open the flaps. Also the stoves don't generally have great burn times so you fall asleep and they burn out. Pretty regulated system for the most part I think.

I don’t think CO forms unless there’s low O2 concentration in the air specifically when you burn propane. Keep good ventilation regardless.
