Car guys, whats this part called?

Im not much of a car guy but i have a brake line leak and this is where its coming from but i cant for the life of me find a diagram or photo saying what the part name is. Its the rear brake driver side on a 2006 mazda 3 work beater. Sorry for the blurry photo i scortched my phone camera on an oven burner. Thanks for any help

In all seriousness though that is a brake line.

But really, I'd tell the autozone guy you need a rear brake hose for your make and model of car and see if it matches the leaky part.

Looks like the hose fitting broke off the hard line.

Can you borrow a phone for better pics?
If the hard line is so rusty it broke off you may have to replace that as well.

The hard lines look decent on the car yet it was just where the hard line and hose connect. But im not sure im gonna mess with it since every bolt is so rusty it might be easier for a real mechanic to do it, cause the bolts seemed like they wanted to just round off and not actually turn so i stopped right away while theres still flats

Put a cap on the line so you won't loose anymore break fluid..I would also top off you brake fluid...

Looks like the thread of your bulkhead fitting broke off into your softline flare fitting... I think. Kinda hard to see in that photo.

You need a new transition fitting, and probably a hose with the fitting. Also brake fluid and a fluid flush.

Best thing would be to go to BigO tire or something. Now that air has been introduced into your brake fluid system, the right thing would be to do a total flush. Can be a PITA to do alone or with no experience.

Also, driving it is "not recommended".

Actually all the armed forces carry them to use on wounds to slow the bleeding.

Before you order parts...try to get the piece remaining in the bulkhead out. You're going to need a 6 point or flare nut to get on it good....judging by the rust. If it will not break loose, you'll need the hard brake line as well.

As mentioned, sometimes the proportioning valve shifts to stop the pressure during a line failure like yours and it can be a little work to re center.
