So here’s a question.
I once made a salmon chowder that was excellent backpacking. The recipe called for salmon in the foil package. I have cases of canned salmon in the pantry.
Can I just vacuum pack some salmon that I’ve previously canned?
It wouldn’t need to be in the bag for more then a week. I’m going on a Kodiak hunt in 10 days and I doubt the temperature will get above the high 40’s

I might freeze it as well. I would guess it would still be good for a weekish as long as temps don't get too warm.
